chilly/chili

it is so very cold today, I think I will make a bit pot of chili.
and put both feet in it.
(just kidding, wouldn't waste good chili that way, and I make a really good chili.)
but doesn't everyone?
that's why there are so many chili cook-offs & contests, because we all believe ours is the best.

not sure exactly how (or why!) this came together the way it did, but I like it.
I suppose I could get all deep and philosophical about its meaning, the metaphor, the subtle references.
but it's not there!
I just liked the way these scraps & pieces fit together.
